In a year filled with comebacks, is it time for Rosie O’Donnell to stage her return to TV? “Multiple sources” tells Entertainment Weekly that the moody media mogul might soon return to television with her own weekly NBC primetime variety show. No comment from NBC or Rosie, but the talks are reportedly “active” and NBC isn’t the only major network trying to lure the former View moderator back on the air. CBS wants Rosie, too. Now the question is: Do we want Rosie?

Oscar-nominated actor Samantha Morton is to make her directorial debut with a drama for Channel 4 about a little girl growing up in a children's home.
The actor, who spent time in care herself as a child, told MediaGuardian.co.uk that she originally began to write the script herself, but after it got "really complicated" she was put in touch with Tony Grisoni, whose credits include In This World and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
Morton, who won a Golden Globe for her performance in Channel 4's Myra Hindley drama Longford, worked with writer Grisoni to create the script about a nine-year-old girl and her experiences in the British care system.
"We sat in a room together for eight weeks and wrote this film," she said.
"People often make things about what they know about. This film was originally about something else - the 1989 Children's Act, but it became too complicated.
"It was something I knew about because I was in care at that time. But the film then became about something totally different."
She added: "A lot of people write about what they know. That is how I have to develop my career as a director."

After taking much of the summer off, Seann is currently back at work filming Greg Coolidge’s upcoming comedy, Coxblocker. The film centers on a new couple with one problem: The woman’s ex-boyfriend keeps blocking the advances of her new beau. SWC plays the menacing ex while Topher Grace is set as the new love.

Nick Jonas goes back to his NYC hotel carrying a Dr. Pepper Diet Soda on Thursday night.
The 15-year-old singer was kind enough to pose in a few pictures with fans.
In the latest issue of Rolling Stone, Nick and Selena Gomez were outed as a couple.
A source claims that back in February, the star of Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place wrote a song inspired by Nick.
“They were writing lyrics for the bridge, and she was saying how Nick makes her so mad when he doesn’t call her back,” the source tells E! News about the tune, titled “Head First.” “The verse was definitely written about Nick Jonas.”

The Dixie Chicks are thrilled to announce the newest addition to the family. Martie's daughter, Harper Rosie Maguire was born this morning in Austin, Texas. She is a perfect 7lb 10 ounces. 20.5 inches long. Martie is doing very well and Gareth and the family are over the moon.
