URRAAAGGGHH I haven't CGed in forever!!! Man, I can feel my hands turning to rust.

Oh, Happy New Year btw. =) Y hello thar LiveJournal, haven't updated you in a lifetime~! Hello there my LJ friends! I hope I haven't been cast into a dusty corner of your cupboard and forgotten. xD

Anyway, because I haven't CGed anything in so long, I feel like I really should practise some colouring over my holidays when I have time. Therefore, I am taking art requests!! =) For free, yes.

So you get a free CGed (digitally coloured) artwork and I get to brush up on my skillz. Fair deal? I'll probably just do fanart for now, because original characters would take me longer and I really don't have that sort of time at the moment, unfortunately. (unless you want to order a paid commission, then welcome welcome o great one!)

*ahem* Anyways.

I may have missed out on some fandoms, so just comment and I'll see if I can do it, otherwise just pick one from the list. I may be quite out-of-date with some mangas so forgive me if I can't draw any characters you might want to request.

Feel free to request any number of characters you want, any pose you want. The more complicated, the better!!! Even if you want an artwork of a pairing I don't ship, I'll do it. However I will decide the size of the drawing and the colour scheme, unless you definitely want a certain colour scheme, then I'm fine with doing as you so request. =) Bear in mind the base sketches might be messy, depending on my mood and time spent on it, but the colouring will be done to the best of my efforts. I may or may not try out different styles of colouring (after all, this is practise!) so what you get might differ from the colouring style of someone else's.

In short :
- only one request per person
- any character(s)
- any pose
- any background
- size will be determined by me (unless otherwise requested)
- colour scheme will be determined by me (unless otherwise requested)
- sketches may be messy
- colouring styles may differ from picture to picture
- there will be no set date for completion of artwork
- the quality of the artwork may be...err...not very satisfactory depending on my mood xD;;

Just leave a comment with what you want and I'll get down to it in my free time. =) I'll try to work quickly, but please don't blame me if I take too long! Time, oh time. And yet I need this practise! Ah, I know my work leaves much to be desired but everyone needs to improve, yus!

I'm doing this for a short time only, I'll probably close this off once I feel there's enough requests made.

I....AM HALF-DEAD FROM ASSIGNMENTS.

Judging from numerous entries on my friends list, it seems like the whole world is too. xD Misery loves company! Alas, end of the year is always torturous crunch time. I swear, I'm sure all schools and Universities and colleges and whatnot let us take it easy throughout the beginning of the year, only to unleash a 99999 HP damage Limit Break unto us at the end of the year.
It's the attack of the workloads, yo!

But that won't keep me from ~~procastinating and watching Australian Idol~~ doodling! Oh no, no no no!

Long time no update!

1 assignment down!!

I swear, I was so lazy I just plucked the same random girl that is in my Featured Deviation, and gave her a tail in replace of her.....non-leg-ness.

And then being even more lazy, just changed the colour scheme for the second bit. OHMYGODWILLIPASS.

It's supposed to be a CD cover and label. My only fear now is that it won't fit on the actual CD - like, the hole will be all over the place or something. xD;

Ahhhh it's due, it's due! I don't know anymore! I still have about 5 other assignments all due at the same time!! *diesdiesdies*

I was on the way home from a long day of University today. As usual, I boarded the train at Melbourne Central, heading far-out south to my residential suburbs. It was late in the afternoon, meaning that the train would soon be packed with high-school kids just out of school.

So mid-way through the journey, the train stopped at South Yarra, and two high school girls got on. Immediately I noticed one of them - a startling beauty. Long, brown hair tied back with a white ribbon with soft locks falling over her face.

She had a rich, olive complexion and was tall and slender to boot. Everyone turned to look at her, and kooky middle-aged men gaped over their newspapers in unabashed pervertedness. I too, had to shift my attention from my music for a moment to silently admire her natural good looks.

And because ~~not all~~ girls do what girls do, I semi-consciously thought of my extremely messy hair and poofy snow jacket. (Haha, it's winter, I don't care how I look, I just wanna stay warm!!! xDD) <-- *has been guilty of going out wrapped up in eskimo pyjamas and starting a residential Yeti rumour*
I wasn't envying her looks or anything, I was sincerely admiring her and grinning at myself for being so horribly indecent in vision compared to a young high school girl, and silently reprimanding myself for my lack of effort in maintaining a human-like appearance.

And then - and I don't know why or how - Beauty and her friend suddenly happened to turn and look at me.

Yin is very simply the last part of my chinese name, and because 'Yin' alone sounded way too short and boring ~~and I was in the Japan-mania! stage of my life back then~~, I decided to add a '-chan' to the back of it. Why in god's name didn't anybody stop me?! I truly regret it now, because I'm paranoid of the whole "OMG YINCHAN KAWAIIIII SQUEEEEE OGENKI DESUKA" thing that's always associated with '-chan'.
I would remove the '-chan' now but...I'm lazy. Yep. :D

Also, yin-chan is what I'm using on forums and stuff, so LJ had better follow suit so people can recognize me and go, "Hey! Your'e yin-chan from ______!!!" (tis so cool when that happens. *secretly loves it*) >D

I just need an excuse to post. XD Nothing really spectacular to show this time, just wanted to be randooooommmmmm. Also, a major art dump.

I received a belated birthday parcel in the mail yesterday....and it was subject to much gleeful crack by me.

Among the contents of the exciting package is this !!!

ZOMG YES!!!Teh Ultimate Fangirl Fodder. My other-husband, Squall - the gorgeous Play Arts figurine that enables you to position Squall in any dream position you want! Tis a shame his jacket is non-removable, but a fangirl is content with this!!! Ahhh, now I can't wait to go back to Malaysia so I can dress little Squally up in torturous Barbie Doll Clothes. Poor Squall, what home have you come to??? XDDD

This means it's time for obligatory crack photoshoot!!!!

Squall starts his very first venture into the house of a fangirl by a chance encounter with..... chibi Cloud. It's love at first sight.

They then proceed to spend an...intimate moment together, with Squall protectively cradling the shy!Cloud on his lap. Holding hands, making plans....

Squall then proceeds to try and impress Cloud with his l337 Intrawebz skillzz0rz!11! with a mobile phone that feels like Squall's attempting to rape it. Unfortunately, Cloud spots Squall's...hidden stash. *dramatic gasp*

Broken-hearted, Cloud flees. Squall pursues his Twu Wub, but instead runs into the Giant Wooden Strip Dancer of Doom. Who happens to like her bishies....brunette.

Being a perfect gentleman, Squall succumbs to the seductions of the Giant Wooden Strip Dancer of Doom. Unfortunately for him, Cloud manages to spot the entire fiasco. Could this be the end for our star-crossed lovers?!

Determined to win back the heart of his blonde-spikey companion, Squall embarks on a quest of sorts. Alas, but he is met with a HP-reducing blow when he chances upon a website....showing just how much he is worth exactly. An ego-shattering blow!! Somebody cast a Potion, quick!!!

Barely conscious, Squall manages to make his way to a desolated pink Chopper-Hat-Island. Soon after, he passes out from the emo-ness. D:

Upon recovery, he finds that he has been rescued by the pirates of One Piece. Being a perfect, chivalrous gentlemen, Squall repays them by treating the ladies with the attention they deserve. *nods*

"I need an efficient mode of transportation..." Squall resorts to the best alternative. Crossing rivers, mountains, deserts and even oceans!!! Ever trusty!! And so cool-looking too!!

Alas, his path is blocked by vicious fiends!! Squall has no choice but to escape. The coward.

Exhausted from the battle, Squall takes a break underneath a Magic Lamp Tree Thing....which happens to have perverted thoughts about the delish bishie sitting at his base.

What other adversaries does Squall have to face?! He had better recover his strength if he wants to win back the hand of Cloud!

It is the Final Showdown! The evil, suave cook Sanji has kidnapped Cloud from the clutches of Squall. Drawing his gunblade, what will be the outcome of this vicious battle?!

Caught off-guard, Sanji manages to ensnare Squall in his Sack o' Doom! Ah, the mortal is in perilious danger!! But never fear, our gallant warrior has just the perfect counter-attack - picking Sanji's nose. The ever-hygienic Sanji is thrown off-guard by this revolting limit break : NOSE PICK!!!
Squall then weeps for the loss of his leather glove. A tragic loss. *shakes head*

VICTORY!!!! Unfortunately, you're not cut out to be cheerleader material, Squall.
And he's forgotten all about Cloud too. =P

Yes, it's a horse. I'm going to go stay with my aunt on her horse ranch for my holidays next month, and I am extremely excited. Hence the equine-mania. :D

I haven't drawn Yui in agggeeesss.... My poor Yui. She must think I've abandoned her. I'm actually slightly miffed at SE's design of Ashe - and the whole princess thing - because it sorta resembles my Yui too much. Of course, Ashe and Yui are worlds different - and Yui's not a princess - but still. The whole royalty - lose - everything - thing. I'm paranoid I'll play the game and see resemblances. Yui's my OC love-of-my-life. DX Curse you, SE!!!

My anatomy and proportion skillz suck. I need to practise more anatomy & proportion. Hence, I think I should start drawing at least one anatomical pose per day. Sort of. I know I start with this... and ... it's nothing impressive. But it's a start. Hopefully soon I'll be able to draw characters doing back flips with my eyes closed, with enough practise.

I swear, I'll update with info about Prints next time. I just need to complete all my mad!rush! of Uni assignments and sort out some stuff. Sometimes I wish there were 48 hours in a day. XDD

^I'm currently working on this one. Yay for different camera angles! I notice that I rarely draw from different angles, and always screw up my perspective, so *fingers crossed* that this one turns out okay. Aaaaaahhhhh practise practise.

^is probably what I will work on after completing the first and commissions. Perspective in-play here! (I hope...) Uh...wonky buildings. But I tried. Hard, not to say the least. I rarely draw buildings, cause I'm talent-less for them. But I decided I have to draw them if I wanna get better. So I drew, and drew I did! Oh, buildings!!!

This is what I've been working on :

So far I've only got the skin tones and hair laid down. Leave the bg for later, that will be a whole new headache later on.

What do you think about the skin?? Is it okay? Are there any changes you would make to improve it, etc..? Do you think I overused the blue or orange? Should I try and airbrush it all out? I don't want it to look too Hyung-Tae-Kim like, do you think it does?

I was so impressed by "Summer" by http://www.deviantart.com/view/30814005/ that I so had to try and paint my own paint-like picture, but ended up failing horribly HAHAHA.

I was trying to paint a young girl with tulips. Yeah. Probably will never never ever finish it. Laugh at me. DX

I think I've been reading too much 'Perfect Girl Evolution'. Dammit, the weirdest manga I've ever set eyes on, yet so addictive. Ah well, it helped a bit on male anatomy, I think. I can draw decent-ly un-disfigured fingers and lips now, yay! 8D

Most girls have a certain preference when choosing a partner. Some like the outgoing, charming types, some like the cool, mysterious types, some like the bad boys, and some just like boys who wear jeans well.

But in the end, all that really doesn't matter that much.

Sometimes a girl just wants someone who will take care of her.

Sometimes a girl just wants to be happy.

Because when you love someone, you don't let go of them so easily.

ALl these sketches are Old. As in, 4 - 5 months ago old. Dunno if I'll ever get round to CG-ing any of them - unless one in particular stands out or something. GAWD why are my sketches so crap.

I wanna be good. And I don't just mean 'good', I wanna be... kickarse good. Like GR, or nyanko, or minties. Or anyone that doesn't start WWIII with a pencil, unlike me.
Dammit, I wanna be good!!!!! >___<

Oh, and spare the "but you're so awesome already!1!!1" comments, plz. I know where I stand *sigh* and not very high on the pedestal, at that. Gotta....work....harder........... *hand explodes*

How on earth do you guys get your linearts to be so smooth?!??! Mine always always always looks so pencil-ly-pixelated-like, no matter how I play with the brightness/contrast function. D:

My scanner is STILL UN-FUNCTIONAL DAMMIT.

So it's all I can do to doodle-doodley quick fanart -- yes, fanart -- =___=" -- with my tablet. Art deprivation at it's worst.
